I apologize for not having more to share this week, but with my computer issues, it's been a tough week. I've been busy playing catch up on my orders. My tech was able to 'rescue' all my work files and reinstall them here on another home computer and he is currently working on my hard drive. I had photos for a Pink Saturday post saved for this week, but can not access them ... so maybe next week (they are Valentine's Day related, so the timing is good!).

Happy Pink Saturday!

Last week while on a walk, I found this beautiful pink flower on a bush in the park. It was just days after our big two weeks cold spell here in Florida and I was so surprised to see that this bush survive the frost. My yard and flowers certainly did not!

Pink Saturday (Christmas Edition)

A very happy Pink Saturday to you all. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas day - I certainly did. Having all my boys home is the best gift of all! But ... I was hoping for a little 'pink' too and I am happy to say that I did receive some fabulous, pinkalicious gifts!

From my boys - they like 'one stop' shopping and always shop on Christmas eve afternoon. B & C really liked shopping at Lilly since they were having a 'party' - serving appetizers and cocktails for all the last minute men shoppers! ...

I actually gifted myself with this pink iphone case. I have to stuff my own stocking since my boys tend to forget to stuff it! ;)

Wrapping & Baking

Busy day trying to get it all done. I managed to wrap a few gifts, with many more to do. These are all for my goddaughter. I chose a Lilly theme (love these 2 Christmas papers). I bought her a few Lilly items, including the paper doll set and activity book. Also, a few outfits and accessories for her American Girl 'just like me' doll that I bought her for her 5th birthday.

 Once again, excuse the bad photos. This little Olympus point and shoot stinks (!!) - the photos always turn out blurry and the colors are all off. My husband bought it last year for his trip to the Keys  - it is a waterproof/shock proof camera and may take good 'wet' pictures, but otherwise, NOT!

 I did order my new camera today and it will be her tomorrow! An early Christmas gift and I think the first thing I will photograph is these gifts (again, properly).

As for baking I made a few items and the dough for sugar, cut out cookies which I will tackle tomorrow.

I've been MIA from Pink Saturday the past few weeks due to traveling, but I am happy to be back this week. I believe we were asked to share a favorite Christmas decoration this week, but I can not remember (forgive me Beverly!). Advent Gift

Instead of an advent calendar this year, I gave my goddaughter this Lilly stocking and filled it up with 24 little gifts - one to open each day. Most of the gifts did not fit in the stocking though, so I had to put them in a bag. Lots of cute, little gifts for a sweet girl (many Hello Kitty items I bought at the Target dollar spot) and other Christmas toys and candy. I also bought her this darling tee shirt.

Lilly Photo of the Week!

The lovely Miss Janice featured me again on her blog, Etiquette With Miss Janice. This time, Griff was the 'star' (the first guy, I believe) of 'The Lilly Photo of the Week'! Way to go Griff ;). Ha, like he had anything to do with it, and I don't dare show him the post.  But ... being such a Lilly lover myself, with no daughters, I can't tell you how happy it makes me that my football/lacrosse player son to wears Lilly :)

And, speaking of Lilly. I just happened to luck out yesterday morning when I received the email about the big Lilly Jubilee sale. I was late to my pilates class, due to my unexpected on line shopping! The sale sold out in no time (hours), but I managed to score the lovely Seamus dress and this beautiful clutch. I have coveted the dress for months now and it was an amazing deal!

My goddaughter's 5th birthday was this past Wednesday ... her gifts from me, all wrapped in pink.

I was so excited to buy her the 'just like me' American Girl doll. I have bought here both a Bitty Baby and the Bitty Baby Twins, but really love this doll who does looks just like Bridget!

I am at another Florida Gator game today (wrote this Friday night).  After going to Griff's lacrosse game at 9am this morning, we jumped in the car and headed up to Gainesville :)

I received my Kindle a few days ago and am reading away. I just love being able to easily take it with me wherever I go. It is very easy to use and has some great features; downloading samples of books (not just a paragraph or 2 but many chapters), looking up words with the dictionary feature - just a simple click, having as many books as my heart desires right in one place to read or ordering another book at any time in just a flash. Oh, and although I haven't used it yet, the 'read out loud' feature. I am a little worried about missing 'real' books. I absolutely love shopping in book stores, buying hardbacks, including cookbooks and decorating books, which I collect. I doubt if I will ever give up buying them, but most certainly will be buying less - most likely 'special' hardbacks that I want a copy of. No more paperbacks for sure - I never keep them, always pass these on to friends - sorry friends, I feel bad I won't have any more to give away!

Happy Pink Saturday ... and 4th of July!

Yesterday, I was at the salon for color, treatments, cut and style. My stylist asked to take a few photos of my hair. She is amazed (as am I) at how it has improved in the 5 weeks since my first visit - much healthier, thicker (looks like I have so much more hair), soft, smooth and shinny. Love the color too. I have been using the products she suggested, Karastase and added a few more yesterday. The products really are making a huge difference with the health and condition to my hair.

OK ... not really anything to do with PINK, but I DO have on a pink top and to be truthful, I forgot about Pink Saturday - I have red, white & blue on my mind ;)

Meet 'Melissa'

My sweet friend, Tonia's daughter, Anna purchased a new 'preppy' pink & green mermaid while on their beach vacation and she named her 'Melissa', after me! How sweet is that!

Since I have lost weight they are really bad :(. Once I get the braces off and have the lines taken care of I can smile big! SO much work and maintenance in growing old!

Dinner on the Avenue

This past Saturday evening, we attended an annual event here in WP. The main street in the downtown area is closed off. People purchase a table and then decorate them how ever they'd like. They have a contestand prizes are awarded for different categories. You can bring your own food or have it catered. We were invited as guests and our table, while very nice was not prize worthy, but the one next to us was so darling!! A Lilly inspired theme and the gal (a sister of a friend of mine) sewed the table cloth, wine bags, chair covers, etc. Pink & green delight! I wish I could give her credit, but all I know is her name, Sue Ann and she is very talented, as well as a Lilly-lover. The photos are not good due to the bright sun and me trying to bust my way in to see & photograph the tables ...

And, I just have to add this photo. The theme was 'Risky Business' and these guys spent the entire evening in these pink shirts with whitey tighties underneath! They were right next to our table and when they won an award, they threw their hands up for all to see ;)
